The Swedish Light
Together with Fagerhult and Grand Public, we captured the essence of “Light. Born out of Darkness”, an emotional, cinematic journey following the light through the Swedish winter landscapes.
Now, in part two – “Light. For Human Well-Being” – we shift to the long summer days, exploring how human-centred lighting can support both emotional and physical well-being in sustainable work environments.
The films take on a metaphorical tone, where light plays the leading role. It's a visual homage to the unique qualities of Swedish light: a vital force that Fagerhult refines through design and innovation. This story underscores the deeper impact of light and positions Fagerhult as a pioneer in lighting design, grounded in nature and sustainability.

Music and sound
From dark winters to bright ideas.
The outdoor feeling of indoor lighting.
Music & The Sound of Light
For the films, we recorded a traditional Swedish folk tune, reimagined to feel like two people playing four-handed in a warm cabin at dusk, while the cold lingers outside. Subtle light-inspired sound design was added to gently enhance the presence of light. The result is a poetic contrast between tradition and innovation. Just like light itself: timeless, yet always new.

Let the music speak for itself. A quiet moment from the heart of the film.
“The future of light is from here. Our lighting innovations stem from the long and dark Swedish winters, pushing us to perfect the art of light. It is the necessity that drives our creativity, where smart lighting solutions and natural light come together to brighten our future.” – Fagerhult
